Big River Camps operates newly built fly-in hunting lodges for Canadian Moose, Woodland Caribou and Black Bear. Located on Newfoundland's southern coast, you will find all the amenities of home while experiencing the hunt of a lifetime as you track and hunt some of Newfoundland's trophy big game animals. Since the area has not been hunted in the last while due to lodge upgrades, it has allowed us to observe many magnificent animals lingering in the wooded and open areas surrounding Middle Lake.
Our qualified and experienced hunting guides can help you experience the thrill of hunting Moose, Caribou, and Bear at one of our remote fly-in locations located within the spectacular and very unique province of Newfoundland, Canada. We operate our hunting lodges during the months of September and October. After an adventurous day hunting and exploring the countryside, return to the lodge to the warmth of a crackling fireplace, a home cooked meal prepared by our chef, and an evening of relaxation and conversation of the day's events.
For a Newfoundland Hunting trip like no other, contact us today and experience the thrill of Big Game Hunting in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Middle Lake Camp is accessible only by float plane or helicopter. Our marshalling point for travelling into Middle Lake lodge is Deer Lake, NL. Our change out day for guests arriving/departing Middle Lake Camp is on Sunday's. We suggest guests arrive in Deer Lake no later than Saturday evening, which allows for an anticipated early departure into the lodge on Sunday. In turn, we suggest guests plan to depart Deer Lake on Monday, following their Sunday departure from the lodge. We would have a representative meet guests at the Deer Lake Airport upon their arrival, and take them to the hotel in which they have confirmed. We would then meet guests at the hotel Sunday morning for the early departure into the lodge.
